Gas Treatment

Biogas Upgrading (Biomethane)

Concentrating the methane in biogas up to natural-gas quality.

Biomethane

Upgrading biogas to natural-gas quality

Biogas upgrading is a system used to concentrate the methane in biogas to natural-gas standards. It removes carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, water and contaminants from the biogas.

One technique for this is amine gas purification. The purified gas is also called biomethane and can be injected into the grid or used as vehicle fuel (CNG).
